Proceeds from unique Laois Book to go towards GROW

GROW will benefit from the proceeds of a unique new book celebrating the life stories and achievements of high profile Laois citizensdarren

The book penned by well-known Co. Laois osteopath and sports therapist Darren Conroy features the stories of 30 Laois people who have made an inspiring and positive impact to their communities.

Senator David Norris will launch the book at 8p.m. on Friday, November 10th in Mountmellick Arts Centre. All are welcome to attend the launch.

The book features Channel 4’s Supervet Professor Noel Fitzpatrick from Ballyfin, Co. Laois, Senator David Norris, whose roots are in Laois, National Ploughing Association Director Anna May McHugh and athlete Anne Keenan Buckley.

“I always wanted to write a book. It features many who were inspirations to me, all have contributed in their way to their community, to the county, to Ireland,” Darren told the Leinster Express.
