GROW Young Adult
Welcome to the young adult section of the GROW in Ireland website. Because young adults are deemed most at risk from mental illness, GROW in Ireland is developing resources specifically to help their particular needs. Our ultimate goal is to provide a large network of easily accessible young adult support groups countrywide. We define a young adult as anyone between the ages of 18 and 30.
There is a Young Adult Booklet available free to download as a PDF which is a useful resource for young people to have on their phone.
There are a number of GROW young adult groups throughout Ireland. Please select a location to find out more about when and where meetings take place.
Why Focus on Young Adults
GROW in Ireland believes that everyone is of equal value regardless of age. However, there is a specific need to provide resources and help for young adults. Below is some data courtesy of Headstrong.ie, the national centre for youth mental health.Find out more about GROW Young Adult
The personal stories in this section have been written by real young adults who attend GROW Mental Health weekly support groups. All have had direct experience of dealing with mental health problems. They wanted to share their stories in order to offer hope to other young adults who might be currently experiencing similar problems. Some names have been changed to protect anonymity.Browse Stories
