This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about empowering the recovery of people who are affected by mental health challenges.
The purpose of the role is to develop and maintain a network of Grow groups in the region known as an Area Coordination Unit. This role has specific duties and boundaries and is one of working with, empowering and facilitating others to enable the development of leadership within membership and the wider Grow community, which provides support to those who have or are suffering from, mental health challenges. Working with the Regional Area Lead and The Head of National Programs to ensure the quality of the Grow program within groups is adhered to. Networking, building awareness of, and the promotion of Grow within the wider community. Initiating fundraising activity and advocating for funding/financial support for Grow in your Area Coordination Unit. You will work as part of the Region and with other members of the national support team to lead the work plan driven by the organisation’s strategic plan and objectives.
Grow Mental Health host over 100 free weekly peer to peer support groups, where anyone over 18 can work through mental health challenges in a friendly community setting. Each week those attending our groups use The Grow 12 Step Program of Recovery and Growth. Our volunteers and several of our employees are people who have attended our groups and used The Grow Program to improve their own mental wellbeing through self-development.
