GROW was presented with a cheque for almost €3,000 following a hugely successful art exhibition in Wexford earlier this year.

A massive and heartfelt ‘thank you’ is extended to Helen McLean, her fantastic art students and all those who contributed to the success of the exhibition, held at Green Acres Wexford in aid of GROW Ireland and Wexford Sexual Abuse Counselling Service.

Almost €6,000 was raised, with cheques presented to both charities at a special ceremony in the Crown Bar Wexford on Friday evening, June 29th.

Helen, who is one of Ireland’s most acclaimed mosaic, stained glass artists and painters, hosted the exhibition at Green Acres’ Art Gallery in Wexford town in March to celebrate 25 years of her exhibition and commissioned art work. This included ten years of art classes from her studio wexford, delivered to children, teenagers, adults, educational and community groups.

The exhibition, featured the work of Helen and her students, and was officially opened by GROW Patron and the former governor of Mountjoy Prison, John Lonergan.
