GROW at Fermoy ‘Staying Well’ Booklet Launch

The ‘Staying Well – Looking After Our Mental Health’ booklet was launched on Tuesday, November 13th at Fermoy Community Youth Centre, hosted by the Fermoy Community Health Project.

The booklet details the supports and services which are available in Fermoy and surrounding North Cork area. The booklet was updated by members of the Fermoy Community Network, of which GROW is a representative, to ensure all relevant local services and supports were included.

As the booklet states – “no one needs to experience that they are alone, particularly when going through difficult times and this booklet provides you with information about the wide range of services and supports available to you”.

The booklet is an invaluable, practical support for local community services, professionals, individuals and family members in the Fermoy and Mitchelstown area and is to be distributed by post throughout the community.

In attendance at the event were members of the public along with approximately 20 exhibition stands from groups and organisations listed within the booklet.

GROW was among the contributors on the day and a special thanks to Julie from the Fermoy GROW Group for her assistance in giving out information on the meetings and how to support your mental health and wellbeing.

A big ‘thank you’ too to Mairead for her help in “doing Mrs. Doyle on the Day” in her tea-making duties for all the thirsty participants and attendees.
