A Limerick woman is hosting a ‘fab’ fundraising event in the city this weekend to raise monies for GROW

Noreen De Barra has organised a pop-up shop in aid of GROW at Chez Le Fab Cafe on Arthur’s Quay Park, Limerick this Saturday, August 11th.

The ‘Fab Fiver’ event will take place from 1 to 6pm and feature ladies, gents and children’s clothing. Donations for the event are currently being received at GROW’s offices in Henry Street in Limerick.

‘People should come early for a bargain and also enjoy a relaxing tea or coffee afterwards in the wonderful ambiance of Chez Le Fab Café. The café is celebrating its second anniversary this coming this weekend so there will be a fantastic atmosphere,” emphasises Noreen.

Noreen will be supported on the day by a GROW team including National Chairperson, Rob Stephen.

This is not the first time that Chez Le Fab has been involved in a charity fundraiser. In January of this year, Limerick artist Audrey Ryan, who previously started a Christmas Facebook campaign in aid of the Limerick-based homeless charity, Novas, asked people to donate any unwanted coats or jackets.

She and the staff of Chez Le Fab set up a rail that remained outside the cafe 24-hours-a-day. Those in need of warm coats and jackets were invited to take them as they needed them.

This Saturday, there will be a selection of women’s, men’s and children’s clothes on offer. Designer wear costs €5. Other items are two for €5.
