Conference “Universal Benefit”

Conference “Universal Benefit– Each person’s Recovery or Growth aids the transformation of the world”
20th Sept, 2019 Tickets on sale

For more than 50 years, Grow has facilitated the establishment and on-going success of peer led mutual help support groups across Ireland. We were pioneers in the lived experience movement that has changed lives. The value of peer support programs to individuals, health services and society as a whole is well demonstrated in research around the world (Burke, Pyle, & Machin, 2018; Finn, Bishop, & Sparrow, 2009; “Grow in America,” ; Repper & Carter, 2011) Watts M; Higgins A (2016) Narratives of recovery from mental illness: Role of peer support (Ireland).

We have come a great distance in the last 50 years but we have further to travel. GROW’s 2019 Conference will look at “Universal Benefit : Each person’s Recovery or Growth aids the Transformation of the World” concentrating on the success and value of peer led support to individuals and communities.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite and cost €50
