Mental Health Reform are offering the opportunity to take part in a training day entitled ‘Public Speaking and Working with the Media’ as part of the Speak Out on Mental Health training series.
The training is designed to give people the knowledge, skills and confidence to be able to speak out for better mental health services across Ireland. It has been developed specifically for people who have personal experience of mental health, as well as family, friends, carers and supporters.
The training will offer participants the chance to explore public speaking in the context of mental health advocacy and engaging with the media as an effective way to campaign for change. Delivered by expert trainer Petra Oorthuijs, participants will get an overview and insight into speaking in public and practise their new skills.
