In the second phase of Grow membership a person typically takes on a formal leadership role within the group such as the role of organiser or recorder but, and this is vital, still remains working on their own life. At this stage, weekly tasks will include many that aim at personal growth as well as recovery. It is a period where the group acts as a place of rehearsal for independent involvement in the wider community. It is a place where it is OK to make mistakes, where you are encouraged to keep on trying and a place where you get valid grounds for confidence.
Participation in Grow will widen outside the group and include attending Leaders and Organiser and Recorders (O&R) meetings, taking part in information meetings or supporting new groups.
